I Can't Stress Enough What a QUALITY Vehicle This Is...
The builder of this vehicle takes pride in every aspect of construction. He does no advertising, but rather let's his completed cars speak for themselves. He's done this for 20 years with many many happy customers. He takes the extra time and goes the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect - perfect in construction, perfect in his selection of materials, and perfect in his commitment to build a superior car.
He has many repeat clients, which speaks for itself. One of his cars currently holds the world record in speed for the cobra class. This quality takes time...lots of time. He always has a waiting list. My car took 19 months to complete once it bdgan. He likes, and prefers, to stay in touch with the owners of his cars. He maintains them and is always available to speak with and/or modify a former car. He resides in Redding, CA, so he's local enough for any Bay Area resident, and with coordination and time, he'll even arrange to have your car picked up and brought to his shop and returned.
Carrol Shelby legally came after him, unsuccessfully, which tells me that he must have considered his cars a threat to any cars that he might put out...had to be a better car, sure wasn't volume.
Thunder Hill Speedway once had a Hooked On Driving Cobra Day out there. This was the only time I've had the car at the track, and boy did it shine. There were 18 cobras there that day, and several couldn't complete the day due to malfunctions and breakages, and one even caught fire. My cobra shinned...performed flawlessly, and it was said among the driving instructors that it was one of the best handling cars there. The only other car it's equal...another car by this same builder - it's peer. The builder even came out that day to support me, although no support was needed. It was still nice to have him there - he's very loyal to his cars. 100 hard miles was put on the car that day - just enough to help prove that it is a quality car, broken in, reliable, drivable both, at the track, and in town. The remainder of the miles are mostly freeway miles, and a handful of city miles, which to me seems a perfect balance to prove the car is not a lemon, yet still very low in miles (~4000).
The car is FUN, stands out like no other in a crowd, is of the highest QUALITY, and most importantly, RELIABLE.
Each car he builds, he makes slightly better than the one before it. He is continually improving upon the car. My car was the last cobra he built...
